Tatarstan Ministry of Digitalization together with Rostelecom and T2 Mobile Telecommunication Companies, continues the implementation of the "Elimination of Digital Inequality" programme. In 2026, 73 new base stations will be established across Tatarstan.
Due to the federal programme, residents of remote settlements with populations ranging from 100 to 500 people will gain access to quality communication and high-speed internet and stay connected with loved ones, pursue online education and work, use digital services and much more.
The project helps ensure equal access to digital services for all citizens, regardless of their place of residence.
Currently, Rostelecom Company is inspecting the settlements that residents voted for on the State Services Portal. The exact list of villages where base stations will be installed will be announced after these inspections are completed. The work is being carried out with the support of the national "Data Economy" project.
Since 2022, more than 274 LTE base stations have been installed in small villages and settlements in Tatarstan under this programme. In 2025, 159 base stations were built across 42 districts, enabling over 33,000 residents of Tatarstan to connect to high-speed 4G internet.
