In 2025, Beeline significantly expanded its 4G network across Kazan and the entire republic. On average, a new base station went live every ten hours without breaks or weekends. This ensured more stable communication in residential areas, villages and along highways.
Each year, the load on the telecommunications network increases, as does the number of smartphone owners. High-concentration areas also see more activity, while holidays and tourist seasons boost traffic further.
Engineers analyzed network performance using AI. Most new base stations were located in business areas, workplaces, new residential developments and city infrastructure sites with interference, such as the Uram extreme park, Tatneft-Arena and Terminal 2 of Kazan Airport.
Under the federal program on reducing digital inequality, 500 residents from 30 villages in Tatarstan gained access to high-speed internet. Additionally, 4G coverage was strengthened on federal highways M-5 and M-12 to make road trips more comfortable.
“Such construction rates lay the foundation not only for the current comfort of users but also for future technologies. For example, expanding coverage on highways is a step toward developing 'smart' roads, and network improvements at large sports arenas will enable the implementation of new interactive services for fans,” Director of Beeline’s Kazan branch Anvar Shakhaev said.
