Residents of the IT Park, Peresvet Company, together with the Russian National Guard and GLONASS have created the app “PERESVET-GLONASS,” which allows users to send danger signals to emergency services.
The app is developed for employees of educational and social institutions to prevent emergencies. It has been added to the “white list,” meaning it can be used even without a stable internet connection.
How does it work?
An employee presses the “Emergency help” button in the app.
The organization’s staff receive a loud alarm sound, even if their phones are on silent.
Information about the incident (location, floor, room number, type of emergency) is transmitted to Russian National Guard or System-112 via the GIS “ERA-GLONASS.”
All staff members in the institution can view the incident details, allowing them to choose the proper course of action. Users can also send clarifying comments about the situation, helping emergency operators assess the situation more quickly.
The system can also be used for real-time drills to develop staff response skills in emergency situations.
Peresvet is an IT Park resident company specializing in software development. The “PERESVET-GLONASS” service is registered with Russian Agency for Patents and Trademarks and included in the register of domestic software by Ministry of Digital Development of Russia. The system is currently used in schools in Moscow, Moscow Region, Nizhny Novgorod, Penza and in the republics of Tatarstan and Crimea.
