An AI assistant appears in the State Services Biometrics mobile application
Now it has become easier to register biometric data online due to the new AI assistant. Artificial intelligence analyzes the video stream in real time and gives the user hints for successful completion of the registration procedure.
The unified biometric system provides access to various services: contactless payment, travel on public transport, remote business opening, service at the MFC, check-in at a hotel without a passport and other services.
Please note that:
• biometrics are voluntary;
• users manage their own data;
• biometric samples are stored in encrypted form and separately from other personal data.
“The next step is to simplify and speed up the biometric registration process. We are solving this problem, including through the use of artificial intelligence technologies in the registration procedure,” Russian Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Grigorenko said.
