The St. Petersburg International Economic Forum 2025 has become a point of attraction for many events and meetings this week. Tatarstan Ministry of Digitalization is promoting the republic's innovative projects and establishing business relations at the forum.

Strategic partnership with VKontakte

On June 19, at their meeting, Tatarstan Minister of Digitalization Ayrat Khayrullin and the Rais of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and the CEO of VK Company Vladimir Kiriyenko discussed strategic steps to implement domestic IT solutions in the public administration of Tatarstan.

"Today we are carrying out preparatory work to replace the foreign mail server with a domestic solution. Tus, it is important to establish close cooperation with the leaders of the IT industry, one of which is VK,” Rustam Minnikhanov noted during the meeting.

Strengthening technological sovereignty with Rosatom

Ayrat Khayrullin also met with Director of Information and Digital Technologies of the Rosatom State Corporation Evgeny Abakumov.

Following the meeting, the parties agreed on a partnership between Rosatom and the IT Park of Tatarstan to promote Russian digital technologies at the enterprises of the republic. The creation of an IT testing ground for rapid testing and implementation of digital solutions, especially in the areas of industrial robotics, information security and neural network systems, was also discussed.

“An important aspect of our cooperation is the joint promotion of Russian IT solutions to international markets, including through the Corporate Innovation Hub in Qatar. I believe that our proposals should work abroad as well,” Khayrulin said during the meeting.

Successful joint projects are already being implemented in Tatarstan: the Innopolis data center was launched in 2024, and a nuclear power plant for hydrogen production is planned to be built in the Mendeleyevsky region of the republic.

Digitalization of the agro-industrial complex with PhosAgro

Tatarstan Ministry of Digitalization also met with the management of PhosAgro, where they discussed issues of digital transformation of the agro-industrial sector and potential areas of cooperation with residents of the Tatarstan IT Park.

The Ministry presented a range of solutions that can enhance PhosAgro's technological potential, including: systems for monitoring and controlling production facilities, predictive analytics and robotization systems for warehouse logistics from Avtomakon, DataLab and Robotech, import-substituting solutions from ICL, as well as augmented reality technologies for industrial facilities from ARservice.

Digitalization of the agro-industrial complex is a strategic area in which Tatarstan IT companies can offer effective world-class solutions.

SPIEF-2025 helps to interact with leading players in the IT market and industrial giants, creating a solid foundation for further expansion of digitalization of the republic. Such events also ensure technological sovereignty with sustainable development of the digital economy of Tatarstan.
