On 4 March at their meeting in the Government House of the republic ,the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and the Director General of the Russian Post Mikhail Volkov discussed further development of the regional post network, the improvement of quality and accessibility of services for the population, attraction of labour force and the implementation of the logistics capacity of the republic.
Speaking at the meeting, Rustam Minnikhanov stated that the Post office is one of important social facilities especially in the rural area and informed that there are 1112 stationary and 29 mobile post offices which employ 7 thousand people.
“Due to post employees our residents get timely services in receiving and sending mail, get pensions and money transfers, make their utility payments and buy essential goods. The republic also provides substantial support to the Russian Post,” the Rais of the republic said.
Tatarstan Minister of Digitalization Ayrat Khayrullin commented on this event: "Cooperation with Russian Post is an important area in the development of infrastructure and digitalization of the region. We are working to improve the quality of services and expand the capabilities of the postal network to ensure accessibility and convenience for all residents of the republic".
In his turn Mikhail Volkov thanked the leadership of the republic for its attention to the development of post in the region and for supporting the Russian Post projects.
