Residents of Tatarstan start storing photos and videos in domestic cloud storage

In 2024, residents of the republic began to use online disks for data storage more actively. At the same time, users increasingly choose Russian analogues - Internet traffic of domestic online disks has grown by 45% compared to last year and already exceeds the volume in similar foreign services. This is the conclusion reached by Yota analysts based on the analysis of anonymized subscriber data.

The total traffic consumption in the cloud storage segment in the republic increased by 29 per cent year-on-year. At the same time, domestic services already account for more than half of the total data volume. The most active users of these services are Tatarstan residents aged 26 to 36, and both men and women show equal interest in them.
