Information Technology Centre of Tatarstan receives the national award “Secure Information Environment” for the project at the “Games of the Future” tournament
Information Technology Centre of Tatarstan became the winner of the national award «Secure Information Environment» in the nomination «Promising and scalable regional project in building a comfortable and secure information environment» for the project “Information security system for information, communication and telecommunication infrastructure of the international multi-sport tournament “Games of the Future” in Kazan in 2024”. The award was handed in to the Director General of the Information Technology Centre Albert Khalyapov at the solemn ceremony in Sochi.
The “Games of the Future” took place in Kazan in February-March 2024. Ensuring data security and confidentiality of information was a key aspect of the success of this event. The Games of the Future included many technological and innovative developments that could potentially be used as vectors for computer attacks by cybercriminals. The Games information systems collected and processed a huge amount of data that required reliable storage and protection from unauthorized access. The information security system for the “Games of the Future”, developed by the Centre, was successfully tested in practice and helped prevent possible threats and ensure security at all stages of the event, ensuring the confidentiality of information, including personal data of participants and spectators.
Tatarstan Ministry of Digitalization of Public Administration, Information Technologies and Communications notes that the design solution of the implemented information security system can be scaled up to other mass events, as well as multiplied to solve problems of information security in various social spheres (culture, transport, education, banking, etc.).
