Tele2 increases infrastructure and improves communication in Tatarstan
Tele2, the Russian mobile operator, voiced the results of technical development according to the results of 2023.
The operator provided access to mobile services to residents of 55 settlements, in many of them mobile communications appeared for the first time. In addition, the company updated 15 per cent of the current infrastructure, which made it possible to increase the Internet speed by an average of 15 per cent.
The consumption of Internet traffic on the Tele2 network increased by 18 per cent over the year. In Tatarstan, each operator subscriber uses an average of 17 GB per month. Based on data on the load on the infrastructure and an increase in the number of subscribers, in 2023 the operator increased the capacity of the network by 5 per cent and updated 15 per cent of the base stations of the republic. The work was carried out both in remote areas and in large settlements, including Almetyevsk, Kazan, Naberezhnye Chelny, Nizhnekamsk.
