The unified digital platform "Ak Bars", developed by the State Enterprise "Information Technology Center of Tatarstan", is included in the Register of Russian Software. The corresponding entry was made in the register on the basis of instructions from Russian Ministry of Digital Development, Communications and Mass Media on December 25.
A unified digital platform is being developed with the aim of creating a unified approach to projects for the implementation of information systems that ensure the key tasks of digital transformation in Tatarstan for the purposes of the national project “Digital Economy of the Russian Federation”. It is a set of technological and business services, automated processes and regulations for the development, operation and technical support of information systems in the public and commercial sectors.
The implementation of the platform saves time and money: the cost of developing new systems is reduced by at least 25 per cent, labor costs for maintenance are reduced by at least 50 per cent. The unified digital platform can be expanded with systems and services from different vendors, and also expands the competitive environment by attracting a wide range of software developers and setting new quality standards.
