Guests from all over Russia visit the first capital of the Volga Bulgaria

Since the beginning of the year Bolgar has become a place of attraction for travelers from different parts of the country. Most often tourists came to the city from Ulyanovsk, Samara regions, as well as Moscow and Saint Petersburg. MegaFon analysts came to such conclusions, having studied anonymized subscriber data.

Bolgar is one of the most attractive tourist destinations in the republic. Over 11 months, 13 per cent more operator clients from other regions visited the locality compared to the same period last year. The total Internet traffic on smartphones of visitors increased by 47 per cent.

During the summer, the number of guests is usually double the annual monthly average. The most popular month for travel is July; this year, in the second month of summer, a festival dedicated to the peoples of Tatarstan “Renaissance: epos in modern interpretation” was held.
