Rustam Minnikhanov launches the construction of a new building for the Tattelecom Computer Center
On November 30, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, Deputy Minister of Digitalization of Public Administration, Information Technologies and Communications of the republic Ilya Nachvin, Director General of Tattelecom Telecommunication Company Ayrat Nurutdinov took part in a solemn ceremony of laying the foundation stone to the new building of the computing centre “Tattelecom” in Kazan.
Rustam Minnikhanov noted that this year the communications industry of Tatarstan celebrated 135 years, and the Tattelecom Company - 25 years. He emphasized that the new computing center will be the next stage of development of «Tattelecom» and will be in high demand in the capital of Tatarstan.
In the future, the new facility will allow to process and analyze critical data of the company’s IT systems and ensure their protection from unauthorized access and other risks.
In the centre with the total area of 3,000 square meters, 400 telecommunication racks will be placed. The construction will be carried out in two stages, the facility is planned to be fully commissioned in 2026.
