A new project for teachers “Personnel reserve for computer science teachers” to be launched

Since September 1, the technological educational platform Yandex Textbook launches a new project for teachers - the Personnel Reserve for Computer Science Teachers. The free support and professional development programme is intended for school computer science teachers and students of pedagogical universities. The programme is aimed at raising the status of a teacher, helping in the professional development of existing teachers and students who plan to teach computer science at school, developing project activities and creating conditions for the exchange of experience and best teaching practices. The project is also aimed at increasing the motivation of teachers and integrating Yandex expertise into teacher education programs in the Computer Science profile. The project helps to implement the Year of the Teacher and Mentor, declared by decree of Russian President in 2023, and also contributes to the formation of a highly qualified staff of teachers in the region, solving the problem of the shortage of computer science teachers and improving the quality of teaching in schools.
