High-performance computing school opened at Innopolis University

The summer school of high-performance computing and their application in modern medicine and biology opened at Innopolis University on September 8. The co-organizer of the event is Moscow Physics and Technology Institute.
Aleksandr Tormasov, rector of Innopolis University, presented a major Innopolis project and the University as a think tank. He told about cooperation with foreign universities, including the MA programme of Carnegie Mellon University.
Aleksei Lobanov, the founder of summer school told about purposes of the project. Students will learn about general medical and biological problems that can be solved with the help of high-performance computing technologies.
The Professor of University of Rome Tor Vergata and Director at BioLink Institute Paolo Di Nardo delivered an introduction lecture «Biomedicine: from Discovery to an Information Science» in English.

Studying AI technologies is a new direction for those planning to enroll in IT specialties at universities.
In 2025, at least 75,000 students will be able to study in the programme.
Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a law on the creation of a national messenger, which will be integrated with government services. Tatarstan became a pilot region for the implementation of this new platform.
This decision is due to the high level of digitalization of the republic, which has been recognized as a leader among Russian regions in this indicator. Tatarstan Minister of Digitalization Ayrat Khayrullin noted: "This initiative opens a new stage in the development of domestic digital infrastructure. Our region has the necessary infrastructure and competencies accumulated over the years of successful implementation of digital projects."
On May 22, 2025, School № 32 in the Kirovsky District of Kazan hosted a "A Lesson of Digit", dedicated to the topic "Anti-fraud: protecting users on the Internet and held under the all-Russian educational project with the support of the national project "Data Economy and Digital Transformation of the State".
From May 23 to 26, 2025, MIREA - Russian Technological University in Moscow will host the final of the International Olympiad "IT-Planet 2025" will be held in Moscow at the RTU MIREA. Students from Tatarstan successfully passed the qualifying rounds and reached the final.
