Kazan school hosts a “A Lesson of Digit” on anti-fraud from Tatarstan Ministry of Digitalization and Avito

On May 22, 2025, School № 32 in the Kirovsky District of Kazan hosted a "A Lesson of Digit", dedicated to the topic "Anti-fraud: protecting users on the Internet and held under the all-Russian educational project with the support of the national project "Data Economy and Digital Transformation of the State".

Students of grades 7-8 learned about important aspects of security in the digital space:

• Fundamentals of cybersecurity for online shopping

• Operating principles of anti-fraud systems

• The role of IT companies in protecting users

The following speakers took part in the lesson:

Head of the IT Community Development Sector of Tatarstan Ministry of Digitalization Marianna Karmanova, who spoke about the importance of digital literacy and the regular practice of conducting such lessons in schools of the republic;

Head of Operational Projects for Trust and Security at Avito Evgeny Raev discussed practical cases with students on identifying fraudulent schemes on the platform.

The students were particularly impressed by the data on the scale of Avito's work:

• 10 transactions per second

• 50% of Russians are users of the platform

• 500+ specialists ensure security every day

Following the lesson, the most active participants received memorable gifts from Avito.

Tatarstan Ministry of Digitalization will continue to conduct such useful lessons - after all, digital literacy is just as important today as regular literacy.
