Attention! New fraud scheme with SIM cards

The deception is done in the following way: a person receives a call supposedly from his mobile operator. The calling «employee» informs the subscriber that his SIM card has expired or is about to expire. «Your number expires on September 20. Do you want to extend it?» On this question many people get confused, and agree to tell the fraudster code from the sms. The target of the intruders is not your SIM card, but access to the online bank. Having received the code from you, they redirect calls and sms to another number or virtual duplicate SIM card. That means they can access your online bank, your mail, your messengers, your social media, and even your state services portal.

Please, remember:

- SIM cards have no expiration date. According to the terms of the contracts concluded when purchasing a number, they are unlimited

- never give codes or other information to callers
