On January 13, Russian Information Technology Development Foundation summed up the results of the implementation of the digitalization programme of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in 2022 and listed the leading regions in three areas - the top 10 regions for the number of SMEs that bought software at a 50 per cent discount; top 10 regions by the number of purchased software; top-10 regions by coverage from all SMEs of the Russian entities, as well as top popular software types.
According to the results of the programme implemented in 2022, as many as 215,000 small and medium enterprises from 85 regions of the Russian Federation bought over 600,000 licenses of the Russian cloud-based software at a 50 percent discount. Due to the programme, the growth of revenue of IT companies made more than 30 percent. Fifty eight Russian IT companies took part in the programme.

The SME digitalization programme has been an efficient support measure, encouraging companies to adopt domestic solutions and supporting Russian IT companies. The programme to support the digitalization of small and medium-sized businesses was launched by Russian Ministry of Digital Development under the federal project "Digital Technologies" of “Digital Economy of the Russian Federation" national programme. The programme operator is the Russian Information Technology Development Foundation.
