Megafon included in National Register of industry leaders

According to results of work in 2012, OAO “Megafon” was included in National Register “Leading Russian communication and IT organisations”. The decision was made on the basis of proposal of Tatarstan Ministry of Information and Communication.
The National Register if formed annually. It is aimed at making the single electronic information resource that will include communication and IT enterprises.
All companies are included in the register only by recommendation of regional government and municipal authorities. Inclusion in National Register means that the company made a considerable contribution to development of communication industry and holds leading positions at regional market.

About 2,000 students of the Institute of Information Technology and Intelligent Systems (IITS) at Kazan Federal University (KFU) received scholarships for studies in “Software Engineering” with a focus on “Modern Software Development.” Annually, more than 22.6 million roubles are allocated from the regional budget for this purpose under the “Personnel for the Digital Economy” regional project.
To date, Yandex delivery robots began operating in the Novo-Savinovsky and Sovetsky districts of Kazan. On December 2025, robot delivery was firstly introduced in the Vakhitovsky district of the city.
The implementation of robot delivery is aimed at making everyday life more comfortable for residents through the use of advanced technology. Users will be able to track the movement of the courier robot on a map directly within the app, ensuring transparency and convenience. Since robots do not require breaks or rest periods, delivery services will operate reliably around the clock.

On March 27, Tatarstan Minister of Digitalization Ilya Nachvyn held a meeting with Director General of "Info-Obereg" Vladimir Dorofeev.
