On June 24, during a working visit to the Yelabuga region of the republic, Tatarstan Minister of Digitalization Ayrat Khayrullin, his deputy Albert Yakovlev and Head of Tattelecom Telecommunication Company Ayrat Nurutdinov assessed how socially important facilities are connected to high-speed Internet in the region and how the processes of transferring services to e-form are carried out in the municipal region.
Khayrullin emphasized that one of the priorities of the digital ministry is providing a high-quality and high-speed network for residents at each location in Tatarstan.
“Our team, together with telecommunication operators, continues to actively work in this direction. We plan that by the end of 2021 we will provide Internet access to 2,347 socially significant facilities of the republic. These are medical and obstetric centres, fire departments, administrative facilities and cultural institutions that first entered this programme this year. Let me emphasize that this is the most ambitious programme over the past decade. In comparison, only 4,000 socially significant facilities were connected to the network between 2010 and 2020. As many as 2 billion roubles were allocated from the federal budget for these purposes. I think the numbers speak for themselves,” Tatarstan Minister said.
