The 15th Anniversary Russian Venture Forum gathers 3,000 participants in Kazan
On April 8, at the Kazan Expo International Exhibition Centre, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, Prime Minister of the republic Aleksey Pesoshin, Tatarstan Minister of Digitalization Ayrat Khayrullin, Chairman of Skolkovo Fund Arkady Dvorkovich, Adviser to Director General of Innovation Promotion Fund Ivan Bortnik and other officials took part in the opening ceremony of the 15th Anniversary Russian Venture Forum, the central event for the domestic venture industry.
During the Forum, the Startup EXPO exhibition was held, at which 50 Russian startups introduce their high-tech projects. The best of them will have the opportunity to complete the acceleration programme, as well as reach a new level of negotiations with potential investors.
The plenary session of the forum «Russia and World in the Сontext of the Technological Transformation» discussed how the venture market, which is most responsive to transformation of the modern technological landscape, is changing today.
Round tables, seminars, workshops, pitch sessions and business meetings in six thematic areas were also held during the Forum.
The areas are:
• Venture investments;
• Corporate investments;
• Technological trends;
• Digit for business;
• Technological entrepreneurship;
• Startup EXPO
A total of 3,000 people took part in the events of the forum, including 200 private investors and representatives of public and private funds.
The organizers of the Russian Venture Forum are Tatarstan Government, the Investment and Venture Fund of the republic, the Innovation Promotion Fund, the Russian Venture Investment Association. The event is supported by the Skolkovo Foundation, the Agency for Strategic Initiatives, RUSNANO Company.
