Schoolchildren from Kazan, Moscow and Saint. Petersburg win the Innopolis Open University Informatics International Olympiad

As many as 245 schoolchildren 13-18 years old from 10 countries took part in the Olympiad held simultaneously in Russia, Belarus, Ukraine and Hong Kong. Young programmers solved 5 tasks in 5 hours.

The absolute winners became Ildar Gainullin from Kazan (Russia), Alexander Shekhovtsov from Moscow (Russia), Sergey Khargelia from St. Petersburg (Russia).

“Innopolis Open in computer science is the headliner among the university olympiads, it is a forge of hardened students who are not afraid of sports programming competitions at any level. The popularity of the Olympiad is evident by the growth in the number of venues, this year there are five of them, and by the growth in the number of participants, this year it increased by 40 per cent, Head of the Innopolis University Olympiad Centre Vladimir Smetanin said.
