Roman Shaikhutdinov discusses creation of “smart cities” with Ernst & Young

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of informatization and communications Roman Shaikhutdinov visited the Ernst & Young Centre for Smart City Innovation and met with CEO Bill Hutchison.
They discussed general global trends in the sphere of smart cities and issues connected with creation and development of Innopolis. The minister noted that experience of Bill and other Ernst & Young specialists in similar international projects, namely WaterfrontToronto (Canada), Cyberport (Singapore), Multimedia Super Corodor (Malaysia), association i-CANADA (Canada), Skolkovo (Russia) is very interesting and useful upon creating Innopolis. Roman Shaikhutdinov invited Bill to Kazan to see construction site of the innovation city.
The Ernst & Young Centre for Smart City Innovation was founded in May 2012. It deals with research and renders consulting services in terms of different social and management aspects and formation of efficient ecosystem for innovative and intellectual communities in Russia and CIS. Specialists and experts of the center possess longstanding practice in the sphere of international projects management in USA, Canada, Singapore, Russia, Germany, UK and Hong Kong.

The Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov approved the decision of Tatarstan government to allocate 55.3 million roubles from the regional budget to support 2,300 employees of rural postal offices in 2026.
A new practice tool for preparing for the USE has been launched on the State Services Portal (Gosuslugi)l. It allows students to reinforce their knowledge and practice solving typical exam tasks.
Since September 2024, Tatarstan residents could receive rewards through the "People’s Inspector" app for reporting traffic violations. During this period, over 12,000 reports were submitted across seven paid categories, earning citizens a total of 5.6 million roubles. The top earner was a resident of the republic who submitted 226 reports and received 275,000 roubles. The second-highest earner earned 260,800 roubles for 209 reports.
