Communication companies summarize results for 9 months

Tatarstan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of informatization and communications Roman Shaikhutdinov held an extended meeting with chiefs of communication companies of the Republic of Tatarstan and branches of Russian companies.
Opening the meeting, the minister informed about some personnel changes in the industry.
Olga Tvorogova, Senior specialist of the Center of operational communications control informed that from the beginning of the year fixed line telecoms providers have connected 28,36 thousand telephones (by 3,1 thousand less than last year). Mobile penetration in Tatarstan has decreased by 6 percent. There are 5,84 mln active mobile subscribers in republic.
4G LTE network was launched by three providers - Skartel, Megafon and MTS. It covers 80 percent of the Kazan territory.
Roman Shaikhutdinov stressed that communication companies are using the system “People’s control” not efficiently enough.

In accordance with the Procedure for providing subsidies from the budget of Tatarstan in 2025 to telecom operators to reimburse costs associated with providing mobile radiotelephone services on sections of the M-12 and M-7 highways located in Tatarstan, approved by Resolution No. 1032 of the Cabinet of Ministers of Tatarstan dated 02.12.2025 (hereinafter referred to as the Procedure) and Order No. p/334 of Tatarstan Ministry of Digitalization of Public Administration, Information Technologies and Communications dated 10.12.2025, the deadlines for submitting applications for subsidies from the budget of the republic have been established.
Digital Transformation Centre of Tatarstan reported that in 2025, Tatarstan completed a digital infrastructure upgrade, which affected server capacity, government employee workplaces, email services and video surveillance.
