Mobile phones to be granted to lonely pensioners in Tatarstan

New charity program “Kind telephone” was presented at a video conference dated to preparation for the Day of Older People. Mobile phones with emergency call button will be granted to lonely elderly people.
According to Aide to the Tatarstan President on social issues Tatyana Larionova, more than 15 thousand elderly people in republic need help and are under the patronage of the Ministry of labour, employment and social protection, 3.5 thousand do not have an opportunity to contact with the outside world. In particular, they do not have telephones to call emergency services.
New charity campaign is dated to the Day of Older People. 3.5 thousand elderly people will get mobile phones with an emergency call button.
The Tatarstan Ministry of informatization and communications implemented monitoring of easy-to-use mobile phones and chose four cheap models. Besides, organisers of the campaign made arrangements with five leading communications service provider that are willing to take part in the program.
Municipal social protection services will be directly involved in the project realization. Telephones will be purchased at the expense of philanthropists, distributed at social protection institutions or delivered to homes.
The International Competence Centre – the Kazan Technical College of Information Technologies and Communications invites graduates, their parents and all interested individuals to the Open Day event.

The Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov approved the decision of Tatarstan government to allocate 55.3 million roubles from the regional budget to support 2,300 employees of rural postal offices in 2026.
A new practice tool for preparing for the USE has been launched on the State Services Portal (Gosuslugi)l. It allows students to reinforce their knowledge and practice solving typical exam tasks.
Since September 2024, Tatarstan residents could receive rewards through the "People’s Inspector" app for reporting traffic violations. During this period, over 12,000 reports were submitted across seven paid categories, earning citizens a total of 5.6 million roubles. The top earner was a resident of the republic who submitted 226 reports and received 275,000 roubles. The second-highest earner earned 260,800 roubles for 209 reports.
