A system of personal digital certificates for citizens to be tested in Tatarstan
On July 16, during the "Island 10-22" educational intensive university 2035, it was announced that Tatarstan became one of the five regions of Russia, where the model of providing digital certificates to the population will be tested under the implementation of the federal project “Personnel for the digital economy” of the Digital Economy of the Russian Federation national programme. In total of 31 Russian regions took part in the testing contest.
Personal digital certificates are an opportunity for Russian citizens to attend a free programme of study in IT area and cross-cutting digital economy technologies. The delivery model will be tested with the participation of employers, training programme providers, employment centers and staff recruitment services in Tatarstan by the end of the year. Tatarstan citizens will receive up to 1,000 certificates.
It is planned that about one million Russians will receive personal digital certificates after testing by 2024.
