As many as 5,500 appeals from Tatarstan citizens received to the hotline on transition to digital television from the beginning of the year
On July 1, speaking at a regular meeting in Tatarstan Ministry of Informatization and Communication, Director of the branch of Russian television and radio broadcasting network “Radio and TV broadcasting centre of Tatarstan” Vladimir Yakimov said that most of the calls, namely 51 per cent, concern the use of equipment for receiving a digital signal, in particular how to connect a television receivers, an antenna and set up TV channels. As many as 19 per cent of Tatarstan citizens were interested in technical issues, for example, the quality of the digital signal. Residents of the republic also asked about the measures of targeted support for socially unprotected categories of citizens.
The toll-free number 8-800-220-20-02 operates a Single Call Center, which helps the public with the transition to digital television.
