Yesterday, on March 22, during a working visit to Switzerland, Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Informatization and Communication of the republic Roman Shaikhutdinov as a member of Tatarstan delegation headed by Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, visited the Institute of Technology in Lausanne.
The Institute is regarded as one of the most prestigious educational institutions in Europe. Today, more than 10.5 thousand students study in the following fields: architecture, construction, informatics, basic sciences, biology, engineering, computer science and communication systems, humanities and others.
The representatives of the university told Minnikhanov about the educational process, the prospects for the development of innovation activity, entrepreneurial activity, the university's interaction with the business sector, and the active support of students in the development of their own start-up projects.
It was particularly noted that the Lausanne Institute of Technology cooperates with the Kazan Federal University.
The meeting discussed prospects for further cooperation between the Institute of Technology of Lausanne and the universities of Tatarstan (Kazan Federal University and the University of Innopolis).
