Nearly 2,000 kilometres of the overhead communication lines dismantled in Tatarstan

On February 17, speaking at a regional video-conference, at the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Tatarstan, Deputy Prime Minister of the republic - Tatarstan Minister of Information and Communications Roman Shaikhutdinov reported on the results of work on the transfer of the overhead communication lines to underground network.

The purposeful work on dismantling of “suspentions” has been underway in Tatarstan since 2011. It is necessary to improve the reliability of communication, to ensure the physical preservation, security of information and to improve the external appearance of the streets. As many as nine cities with the total of 50,000 citizens are involved in the implementation of the project.

Minister of Information and Communications of the republic reported that the work on transferring of the overhead communication lines is carried out together with the operators, at the residential areas, it makes possible to exclude the further opening of green space and the asphalt and concrete surface, to lay one large channel for all cables underground.
