On July 18-25 the number of participants of the regional contest “IT champion” increased by 3000. The contest started on March 1. Total number of pupils participating in the contest made 235 000. 229 new personal accounts were registered. The main prize is iPad.

11 thousand requests were received in the state information system “Public control” for the period of its functioning. More than 2,8 requests were sent to the most popular category – the condition of roads in the republic . Decisions were made by 1 thousand requests. Another popular category is “territory improvement”. Due to efficient work of relevant agencies territories were improved by half of requests.

27th World Summer Universiade 2013 in Kazan successfully finished in Kazan last week. 92 thousand participants and 2 thousand organisations were accredited for the Games. 16 thousand certificates for visa-free entrance to Russia were issued.

LG is interested in high-accuracy speech recognition system that was developed by RealSpeaker Lab. The Cooperation agreement was signed between LG and RealSpeaker on July 8.

OOO “Informatika” developed the unique access system especially for the World Summer Universiade. The system enabled guests, participants and event managers going to sports events via special reading terminals. About 135 thousand people visited competitions every day.
On July 18 more than 300 students gathered at opening of II international educational forum “Summer campus of Presidential Academy: territory of opportunities” (July 18-28) to discuss ideas and development of managing competences. Rector of Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration Vladimir Mau, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, Minister of information and communication Roman Shaikhutdinov took part in the event.

There were 530 028 unique visitors on the Portal kazan2013.ru. For the last week the portal was visited 260 thousand times. The number of new visitors made 59 per cent. Average time spent was 3,52 minutes. 65 per cent of visitors are from Russia, others – from countries of far and near abroad.
