On November 29, Deputy Prime Minister of the republic - Tatarstan Minister of Informatization and Communications Roman Shaykhutdinov, Deputy Prime Minister of the republic - Tatarstan Minister of Industry and Trade Albert Karimov and representatives of industrial enterprises and universities of the republic took part in the meeting of the Council of the Association of Enterprises and Industrialists of Tatarstan, dedicated to the digital transformation of industry.

On November 27, at the solemn event dedicated to the 130th anniversary of the establishment of telephone communication in Tatarstan, Deputy Prime Minister of the republic - Tatarstan Minister of Informatization and Communications Roman Shaykhutdinov handed in awards to the most outstanding employees of the industry.

On November 27, a business meeting of specialists of the Working Subgroup on Logistics and Intellectual Transport was held in the capital of the republic. Representatives of Russia and Finland discussed the implementation of national programmes on the development of intellectual transport, regulatory support of this area, as well as interaction between companies and departments of both parties.

On November 27, Tatarstan telephone communications celebrated its 130th anniversary and the date, when the first city telephone stations appeared, which became the starting point for the development of the communications industry. People had a new, very convenient means of communication, due to which they could communicate with their families and friends from different parts of the world.

On November 21, during ERA-GLONASS International Congress, taking place these days in Moscow, the Information Technology Centre of Tatarstan and GLONASS Company signed an agreement on information interaction. Director General of the Centre Almaz Valiullin and GLONASS Director Igor Milashevsky signed the document. Deputy Prime Minister of the republic - Tatarstan Minister of Informatization and Communications Roman Shaykhutdinov took part in the signing ceremony.

The senior managers of the Technical Support Centre of the 3GPP International Consortium assessed the work of the area of the 5G mobile communications test zone, which has been operating in Innopolis since May this year. The Rostelecom Telecommunication Company with the support of Tatarstan Ministry of Informatization and Communications and the Tattelecom telecommunications operator on the equipment of the technological partner of the project the Huawei Company launched the new generation mobile network was deployed by Rostelecom.

An educational camp of the Youth Council of Tatarstan Ministry of Informatization and Communications and the Centre of Information Technologies of the republic was held at the Volga youth centre in the Laishevo region of the republic. During the camp, meetings with representatives of the Youth Government of Tatarstan, the Academy of Creative Youth of the republic and various trainings and foresight sessions on the development of priority projects and activities of the council in four areas, in particular, I, the Team, the Ministry, the Branch were held.

On November 19, in the IT park of Naberezhnye Chelny, this year’s last selection of startups was completed. The expert jury approved eight projects that can become residents of the Business Incubator.

The International competitions in robotics - World Robot Olympiad 2018 - finished in Thailand this weekend. As many as 48 children from Russia, including 11 from Tatarstan, took part in it. They represented the Lyceum of Innopolis, the Naberezhnye Chelny Centre for Children's Technical Creativity and the Laboratory of Robotics and Industrial Design from Kazan. The University of Innopolis trained the Russian participants for the world championship.
