On October 26, in Kazan, at the Board meeting of Tatneftekhiminvest Holding chaired by Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov with participation of the heads of the largest companies in the oil and petrochemical industry of Tatarstan, residents of the Innopolis Special Economic Zone, in particular, Elsur and Riel Digital Technologies Companies introduced their inventions.

On October 26, a solemn housing of the new apartment building on Sportivnaya Street took place in Innopolis. All 48 apartments in the new building are intended for residents and business partners of the Innopolis Special Economic Zone and also staff of budget organizations of the city of high technologies. 

On November 23-25, Technopark in the sphere of high technologies "IT Park" will hold one of the most anticipated and major start-up events in Kazan and the entire Volga region - Kazan Startup Weekend 5.0 "On the way to Singularity".

On November 9-11, Ak Bars Bank together with the University of Talents, the Higher School of Information Technologies and Intelligent Systems of Kazan Federal University, the University of Innopolis with the support of the Ministry of Informatization and Communication of Tatarstan, the Ministry of Education and Science of the republic and Regional Ministry of Youth Affairs will hold open IT -Hakaton in the banking sector for teams of young professionals from 12 to 30 years old, who have programming skills.

The deadlines for submitting applications for grants to non-profit organizations for cost recovery from the budget of Tatarstan for holding the European Olympiad in Informatics for Juniors 2018 have been determined. Subsidies are allocated in accordance with the procedure for granting subsidies, approved by the Resolution № 8-05-р/213 of Tatarstan Cabinet of Ministers on October, 24.

The staff of the University of Innopolis together with Arkodim Company, specializing in manufacturing of industrial robots, has developed a manipulator which is safe for humans in production work. The robot was first introduced at the Open Innovations 2018 Forum in Moscow.

In 2019, the Russian IT university will hold the All-Russian Robotic Olympiad for the fifth time. For the first time, young robotics of 12-18 years old from around the world are admitted for the participation in the Olympiad.

On October 23, Deputy Prime Minister of the republic – Tatarstan Minister of Informatization and Communication Roman Shaykhutdinov as a member of Tatarstan delegation  visited Stanford University, located near the city of Palo Alto, California, which is one of the best and top-rated universities in the United States and the world.

October 24-25, DIF 2018 - Interregional Forum of Innovative Technologies will be held in Tatarstan. OCS Distribution has been holding it in Innopolis the seventh consecutive year.

During a lecture, dedicated to the international vocation-oriented education action IT Knowledge Day, the 10th grade students of the Lyceum 131 in Kazan got acquainted with the information technologies.
