Every Tatarstan resident over 18 can vote for one rural settlement, which should be provided with high-quality mobile Internet. To participate in voting, a citizen needs a verified account on the portal and permanent registration in the region for which the user votes. It is also possible to send a paper letter to Russian Ministry of Digital Development, where it is necessary to indicate the name, registration address and the name of the settlement to which the internet communication is required.
Tatarstan launched a federal programme to provide high-speed internet and mobile communication to small settlements of Russia.
Base stations of 2G and 4G standards will be installed in 26 rural settlements of Sabinsky, Arsky, Kamsk-Ustyinsky, Mamadyshsky, Aznakayevsky, Bavlinsky, Rybno-Slobodsky, Aktanyshsky, Kukmorsky, Alekseevsky, Vysokogorsky, Yelabuzhsky, Novosheshminsky, Zelenodolsky, Tukaevsky and Apastovsky region of the republic.

Under the Digital Economy national programme, Russian Ministry of Digital Development will provide 4G communications to about 24,000 underpopulated areas in Russia until 2030. This year, 4G communication networks will appear in 61 settlements of the republic with a population of 100 to 500 people.
