Russian State Services portal launches the second stage of the All-Russian voting for connecting small settlements to high-speed mobile Internet in 2023

Every Tatarstan resident over 18 can vote for one rural settlement, which should be provided with high-quality mobile Internet. To participate in voting, a citizen needs a verified account on the portal and permanent registration in the region for which the user votes. It is also possible to send a paper letter to Russian Ministry of Digital Development, where it is necessary to indicate the name, registration address and the name of the settlement to which the internet communication is required. Letters received by the Ministry no later than November 26, 2022 will be taken into account when counting votes.

The portal also has the opportunity to check information about the inclusion of the settelment in the first stage of the programme to eliminate the digital divide, implemented in 2022.

The voting deadline is November 12, 2022. All settlements with a population of 100 to 500 people take part in the voting.

On December 26, 2022, the State Services Portal will publish a list of 1,800 settlements in the Russian Federation that will provide mobile Internet in 2023. In Tatarstan, it is planned to connect 55 settlements in 2023.

The voting is carried out under the Programme of elimination of digital inequality under the federal project «Information Infrastructure» of the national programme «Digital Economy». Rostelecom Telecommunication Company is the operator of the federal programme, which runs until 2030.
