According to the Presidential Decree of March 2, 2022, Russian Government needs to simplify the process of employment and obtaining a residence permit for foreign IT specialists working in Russian companies.

Since January 1, 2021, the regional programme to support IT companies «KITyk» is operating in Tatarstan. It provides reduced rates for the simplified tax system up to one percent under the item «Income» and up to 5 percent under the item «Income minus expenditure». As many as 78 Tatarstan companies received benefits under this programme last year.

At a government meeting, Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin announced the decision to support the domestic IT industry and informed about the new measures, namely tax preferences, grants and soft mortgages.

As many as 2,361 residents of the republic have already tested a new digital platform for providing social support measures “Zabota”.

How can Tatarstan companies and organizations receive support measures for the development or implementation of end-to-end digital technologies?

"End-to-end" digital technologies are technologies that, firstly, are not related to individual products, secondly, they are necessary for any branch of the economy and, thirdly, radically change the situation in existing markets or contribute to the formation of new ones.

The sphere of high technology awaits a special «tax maneuver» - a two-fold reduction of insurance premium rate and a reduction of the profit tax rate for IT companies. Russian President Vladimir Putin announced new measures to support the IT industry.

On June 8, Tatarstan Minister of Digitalization of Public Administration, Information Technologies and Communications Ayrat Khayrullin together with Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin visited the Republic’s Centre for Financial Assistance in the Privolzhsky district of Kazan.
