President of Finland Tarja Halonen visits IT-park in Kazan

President of Finland Tarja Halonen visited Kazan technopark in the sphere of high technologies “IT-park”. She was accompanied by RT President Rustam Minnikhanov.
The day before Tarja Halonen had met with RF President Dmitry Medvedev and RF Prime Minister Vladimir Putin. They discussed development of innovative small companies and implmenetation of information technologies in socially important sectors. The Republic of Tatarstan was mentioned as a region where such projects are being successfully realized.
Deputy prime minister – minister of informatization and communications Nikolay Nikiforov told about Tatarstan achievements in IT-sector, in particular, in the sphere of electronic education, health care, state services, and demonstrated the system for coordinating rescue of the injured “GLONASS+112” .

Students at Gymnasium No. 75 in Kazan took part in an educational session under the "Digital Literacy" project, focusing on topics such as "Pet Protection in the Digital World" and "Harmful tips on Digital Security", which is implemented in support of the national project “Data Economy”.
Tatarstan residents have increased their phone communication by one-third. According to MegaFon, in March 2025, the average person talked on the phone for 4 hours and 49 minutes per month. This year, the average call time has risen to 6 hours and 20 minutes.
