President of Russia Dmitry Medvedev positively assessed projects in the sphere of rendering state and municipal services in electronic format that are being implemented in Tatarstan. RF President got familiar with them while visiting Naberezhnye Chelny where he was accompanied by RT President Rustam Minnikhanov.

RF President was shown how tatarstaners may get a number of state services on-line via infomat, portal of state and municipal services uslugi.tatar.ru or m.tatar.ru. Dmitry Medvedev tested the work of infomat by filling in the questionnaire for receiving international passport and paying off state duty. After that he used on-line consultation service and asked call-centre operator some questions.

In the course of infomat presentation Dmitry Medvedev was also shown universal electronic cards of a citizen issued by “Ak Bars” Bank and Savings Bank of Russia. It is known that the Republic of Tatarstan together with Astrakhan and Bashkortostan is a “pilot” region on adopting universal electronic cards. Some dwellers of Naberezhnye Chelny and Kazan have already received such cards now. These cards contain identification and banking applications and allow getting and paying state services via internet portal and infomat.

Moreover, the system of electronic documents circulation was demonstrated to the Head of Russia. Due to special application “Mobile office” tatarstan officials may work in it using Apple iPad. Dmitry Medvedev estimated the value of “Mobile office” by sending electronic assignment to his Aide Arkady Dvorkovich.
