On October 6, popular social network Instagram celebrated 5-year anniversary.
Instagram is a free mobile photo-sharing, video-sharing and social networking service that was created by Kevin Systrom and Mike Krieger and launched in October 2010.
The service was acquired by Facebook in April 2012 for approximately US$1 billion in cash and stock. In 2013, Instagram grew by 23%, while Facebook, as the parent company, only grew by 3%. About 16 mln people use Instagram service in Russia. The total number of registered users for the end of September made 400 mln. people.
Chairman of Russian Government Dmitry Medvedev is the most popular blogger among Russian politicians. Rustam Minnikhanov is the most popular blogger in Tatarstan.
