Ministry of Information and Communication reports on results of work in 2013

An extended session on results of work of communication industry in 2013 and setting tasks for 2014 with participation of Russian Minister of Communication and Mass Media Nikolay Nikiforov and Prime Minister Ildar Khalikov was held at Tatarstan Ministry of Information and Communication on January 29.
The session was broadcasted online on the website of information agency “Tatar-inform”.
Minister of Information and Communication Roman Shaikhutdinov opened the event. He told about results of work and achievements of communication industry. He informed that gross income of the industry made 46.6 bln rubles. Capital investments of enterprises made 5.3 bln rubles. 5.8 bln rubles were transferred to regional and federal budgets. Average salary of employees of communication enterprises made 28.3 thousand rubles.
Important events were launching and successful passing of state acceptance testing of System-112. A new settlement “Innopolis” appeared on the map of Russia, and a Managing company Special Economic Zone “Innopolis” was registered. Record number of services was rendered in electronic format (25.7 mln).
Roman Shaikhutdinov also told about informational support of education, culture, health and social spheres, and project “Open Tatarstan”.

About 2,000 students of the Institute of Information Technology and Intelligent Systems (IITS) at Kazan Federal University (KFU) received scholarships for studies in “Software Engineering” with a focus on “Modern Software Development.” Annually, more than 22.6 million roubles are allocated from the regional budget for this purpose under the “Personnel for the Digital Economy” regional project.
To date, Yandex delivery robots began operating in the Novo-Savinovsky and Sovetsky districts of Kazan. On December 2025, robot delivery was firstly introduced in the Vakhitovsky district of the city.
The implementation of robot delivery is aimed at making everyday life more comfortable for residents through the use of advanced technology. Users will be able to track the movement of the courier robot on a map directly within the app, ensuring transparency and convenience. Since robots do not require breaks or rest periods, delivery services will operate reliably around the clock.
Mobile Telecommunication Systems Company reported on its activities in Tatarstan for the year 2025 during a weekly meeting at Tatarstan Ministry of Digitalization.
Director of the MTS branch in Tatarstan Marat Kabanov outlined key areas of work in 2025 and the achieved results.
On March 27, Tatarstan Minister of Digitalization Ilya Nachvyn held a meeting with Director General of "Info-Obereg" Vladimir Dorofeev.
Such meetings between the minister and representatives of the IT community are held on Fridays in an open dialogue format. These personal meetings provide an opportunity for companies to share their experiences, discuss their projects and seek support.
