Tatarstan residents can vote for mobile internet access in their locality
Voting for connecting villages and settlements with populations ranging from 100 to 1,000 residents to mobile internet in 2027 was launched on the State Services Portal (Gosuslugi). The vote is being held under the federal project "Bridging the Digital Divide" and the national project "Data Economy and Digital Transformation of the State." Participation is open until November 8, 2026.
This programme is aimed at ensuring that, regardless of their place of residence, every individual can access digital services, study online and stay in touch with loved ones at any time. Adult citizens of the Russian Federation are eligible to vote. You may cast your vote only for a locality in the region where you are officially registered — for example, a village or settlement where your relatives or friends reside.
Voting is available through two channels:
Online via the State Services Portal, if you have a verified account.
Follow the link and log in to your account.
Your registered address must be listed in your personal profile. If not, the system will prompt you to provide this information.
Enter the name of the locality where you would like mobile internet to be deployed in the search bar.
Select the locality and click "Yes."
Your vote will be counted. You can track the voting results on the website.
By post, by sending a letter to the Ministry of Digital Development, Communications and Mass Media of the Russian Federation.

The letter should include your full name, permanent registration address, and the specific locality in need of mobile connectivity. Multiple individuals may sign a single letter and each signature will be counted as an individual vote.
"Based on the voting results, the Ministry of Digital Development will determine the list of villages and settlements that will receive mobile internet as a priority. Our residents have already taken part in the nationwide vote to shape the development of their regions. Following the previous vote, we are working together with Rostelecom and T2 this year to install base stations in 79 villages and settlements across the republic. The largest volume of work is underway in the Baltasinsky, Agryzsky, and Kukmorsky regions," Tatarstan Minister of Digitalization Ilya Nachvin said.
Since 2021, under the federal programme, mobile internet has been made available in over 6,800 small settlements nationwide. In Tatarstan, from 2022 to 2025, base stations have already been installed in 274 small settlements under of the programme.
