Rostelecom presents the “Digital Fire Garrison” at the 16th International Salon of Security Equipment in Kazan
On September 4, at the XVI International Salon of Security Equipment, Rostelecom Telecommunication Company spoke about the progress of implementing the GIS “Digital Fire Garrison” project in cooperation with EMERCOM and the Ministry of Digital Development of Russia. The presented solution automates the workflows of rescue services. The system can keep track of firefighting equipment, promptly receive calls, manage personnel actions and export response data. The programme is built on the GosTech platform, with Rostelecom listed as the developer.
Demonstration tests of the system were conducted under the event. Rostelecom specialists organized end-to-end video surveillance with a live feed from the Kazan Fire and Rescue Department to a stand in the Kazan Expo Exhibition zone. The display showed how the platform handles a call at every stage—from dispatcher registration to rapid dispatch of the fire crew.
“Digital Fire Garrison” is already deployed in Moscow and Kirov regions. A deployment in Tatarstan is planned in the near future. By 2027, EMERCOM plans to roll out the system nationwide. The target audience is expected to exceed 90,000 users, including dispatchers, watch commanders and the agency’s operations headquarters.
Director of Programmes for the State Digital Platforms Development Block at Rostelecom Company Nikolay Tikhvinsky: “I am confident that everyday use of the system will increase the efficiency of fire departments. We will continue developing the project: refining the algorithms for assigning forces and resources with consideration of road conditions, implementing an integrated training simulator for personnel and configuring information exchange with the national spatial data system.”
Kazan Expo International Exhibition Centre hosted the XVI International Salon of Security Equipment “Integrated Security” from September 3–5 and featured developments from 230 organizations representing 30 countries.
