Digital team of Tatarstan congratulates schoolchildren and students on Knowledge Day
On September 1, a new academic year began at educational institutions across Tatarstan. Tatarstan Ministry of Digitalization and the IT Park joined in supporting students by attending celebratory assemblies in Kazan and Leninogorsk.
Tatarstan Minister of Digitalization Ilya Nachvin opened Knowledge Day at the Leninogorsk Petroleum College, which welcomed 337 first-year students this year. The Minister congratulated students on the start of the academic year, wished them a strong pursuit of knowledge and expressed gratitude to the faculty for their dedication. For the new academic year, a modern four-story dormitory with 185 beds and new furniture was opened for the students of the college.
Ilya Nachvin together with the Head of the Leninogorsk region Marat Girfanov congratulated students at School No. 10. The celebration coincided with the opening of aerospace and engineering classrooms at the school, where students will be able to take their first steps into high-tech professions and test their engineering skills.
The next stop was School No. 7 in Leninogorsk, where Nachvin and Girfanov looked around the modernized chemistry and astronomy classrooms and had an informal conversation with students of the specialized class.
First Deputy Minister of Digitalization of Tatarstan Albert Yakovlev congratulated first-year students at KNRTU-KAI, while Deputy Minister Bulat Gabdrakhmanov addressed students at the International Center of Competences — Kazan College of Information Technology and Communications (MCC-KCITC). This year, 477 students were enrolled in the first year of the college, with 62% being boys and 38% girls. The most popular fields were web development and software development and management, with a competition rate of 19 applicants per spot.
During the celebratory event held at the IT Park, director Ruslan Vlasov met with students of the Children's IT Park, sharing the history of technology development and explaining how young engineers can showcase their talents.
