MIG operator commissions 53 new communications facilities in first half of the year
Speaking at a weekly meeting of Tatarstan Ministry of Digitalization, MIG communications infrastructure operator has reported its results for the first half of 2026. During this period, the company commissioned 53 new facilities. The operator's total network now comprises 615 facilities across three regions of Russia.
In parallel, the company's specialists prepared sites for the placement of 81 new base stations. MIG's key clients and partners are the largest market players: TMT, VympelCom and MTS.
MIG was established by the order of the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov in 2017 with its founders Tattelecom Company and the IT Center of Tatarstan. The operator's mission is to build dual-purpose masts and antenna-mast structures, enabling mobile operators to deploy base stations faster and more efficiently.
Together with Tattelecom, the operator is developing a 24/7 support service that handles inquiries from mobile companies. These most often relate to power supply interruptions. In the first half of 2026, the number of incidents at facilities decreased by 10% compared to the same period last year.
The operator's specialists also conduct scheduled technical maintenance. They inspected 110 sites with special attention given to aging facilities and structures along key highways: M-7, M-12, and Shali — Bavly. More than half of the identified issues have already been resolved.
