Schoolchildren from Kazan become winners of the Russian Robotics Olympiad

7 July 2026, Tuesday

The Kazan team "Wild Robot" became first in the Junior Creative category of the 2026 Russian Robotics Olympiad held in Orenburg. Students of the "SolnTse" boarding school — Artyom Sitdikov, Ravil Davletbaev and Timur Akberov — under the guidance of their coach Zemfira Druzhaeva from the MakerLab club, developed and successfully defended a project designed to facilitate the work of ornithologists in nature reserves.

Not all team members were able to travel to the finals in Orenburg. Nevertheless, Artyom and Ravil presented their project and won the gold medal.

Congratulations to the young engineers on their victory! We are confident that many more exciting competitions and interesting projects await you in the future!

Tatarstan places great emphasis on training IT professionals for robotics from an early age. The Children's IT Park in Kazan and the "Kvantorium" in Naberezhnye Chelny are working in the republic, where children explore robotics and create their first projects.

Another platform for discovering talent was the first open tournament in robotics and technological entrepreneurship, "ROBOKAZAN". At the festival, children built their first robots, presented startups, created AI services and much more.
