The admissions campaign for secondary vocational education institutions continues in Russia. Training for future specialists in the IT sector in Tatarstan is offered by the Kazan College of Information Technology and Communications, Kazan Radio-Mechanical College, Nizhnekamsk Industrial Technical School, Zainsk Polytechnic College, Drozhzhanovsky College of Industrial Technologies and other institutions.
For graduates, this is a stressful time of choosing their future path. On the State Services Portal (Gosuslugi), applications to colleges can be submitted online. The admission process is now more transparent, and families no longer need to gather all paper documents. Approximately 600,000 people across the country have already successfully used the platform, allowing applicants to submit applications remotely to more than 4,000 educational institutions.
This year, State Services Portal (Gosuslugi) launched a service for selecting colleges and technical schools. The new digital assistant allows users to compare educational programmes and assess their chances of admission to state-funded places.
Additionally, the platform offers career guidance tests and a list of the most in-demand professions in the region. Applicants can also sign targeted training contracts directly on the State Services Portal (Gosuslugi). Under this arrangement, an enterprise supports the student during their studies and guarantees them a job after graduation. This year, demand for targeted training increased by nearly 20%, with applicants submitting 15,400 such applications.
Among the most popular fields of study are software development and management. Based on last year's results, software developers showed the highest revenue growth in Tatarstan's IT industry (153%). Other sought-after specializations include law, nursing and general medicine and logistics operations.
Please note: the deadline for submitting documents for creative specialties is August 10, while the deadline for all other fields is August 15.
The State Services Portal is continuously being developed under the national project "Data Economy," which is aimed at creating convenient digital platforms for citizens.
