At the summer lecture in Kazan, as many as 1,000 people learn how black holes change space and time
On June 10, the Bashir Rameev IT Park in Kazan hosted the second open lecture of the "Scientific Code: Summer Lectures" series, which brought together an audience of 1,000 and was held by Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences and host of the programme "The Question of Science" Aleksey Semikhatov, who debunked popular myths about black holes.
The scientist provided a clear explanation of the nature of these cosmic objects. He discussed what black holes really are and how they affect space and time. Alexey Semikhatov demonstrated that even complex scientific phenomena can be explained in an understandable and engaging manner.
The scientist is already familiar to the Kazan audience. A year ago, at the Bashir Rameev IT Park, he spoke on how the modern scientific picture of the world challenges human intuition.
"Working across various fields and organizations and learning about the achievements of Russian scientists, I can state with absolute certainty that Kazan is a center of advanced science and one of the country's largest scientific hubs," he said.
Guests had the opportunity to ask the scientist questions, engage in lively discussions and simply enjoy a wonderful summer evening.
The "Scientific Code: Summer Lectures" series is held weekly at the Bashir Rameev IT Park under the "Summer in Tatarstan" project. Admission is free.
