Tatarstan expands network coverage near water bodies and dachas for summer season
For the opening of the summer fishing season in Tatarstan, Megafon has installed additional telecommunications equipment. Fishermen on the Myosha River, dacha residents and motorists on the M7 and M12 highways now have stable connection. This is especially important for staying in touch while enjoying outdoor recreation in areas where the network may have previously been overloaded.
New telecommunications equipment has been installed in the village of Kzylyl, near the "Myoshinskiye Usadby" area in Pestrechinsky region and in the cottage community "Krasnaya Polyana" in Laishevsky region. With the arrival of warm weather, many city residents come here and network load increases many times over.
To ensure broad coverage, engineers simultaneously used two frequency bands at the new sites: low and medium. Now everyone can make an emergency call, use digital services and always stay in touch with loved ones.
Big data analytics from Megafon shows high digital activity among residents of the Kazan suburbs. On average, one subscriber consumes about 26 GB of internet traffic per month. The absolute leader in data consumption is Vysokogorsky region, where in May traffic amounted to 32 GB per person. Second and third places went to Zelenodolsky region (26 GB) and Pestrechinsky region (25 GB).
Meanwhile, the most talkative residents were found in Pestrechinsky and Laishevsky regions. In May, they spent an average of 7 hours and 55 minutes and 7 hours and 28 minutes on phone calls, respectively.
