On June 10, the Bashir Rameev IT Park in Kazan will host the second open lecture of the "Scientific Code: Summer Lectures" series titled "What is a black hole really?" with the speaker Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, host of the programme "The Question of Science" and author of popular science films Aleksey Semikhatov.
The scientist will help attendees see space in a new light: he will explain the nature of black holes simply and clearly, debunk popular myths and show what these objects really are. You will learn what lies beyond the event horizon, understand why black holes are not "cosmic vacuum cleaners" at all, and how exactly they alter space and time.
Semikhatov already spoke at a summer lecture last year, discussing how the modern scientific picture of the world challenges intuition. We saw how much you enjoyed the event, so we invited him again!
This is not just an educational lecture, but an opportunity to spend a wonderful summer evening, ask questions to a real scientist, take part in a lively scientific discussion and leave with a new understanding of the universe.
Admission is free, but prior registration via the link is required. To date, 1,000 people have already registered for the lecture.
The "Scientific Code: Summer Lectures" series is organized as part of the "Summer in Tatarstan" project. Meetings with leading experts in science and technology will be held weekly at the Bashir Rameev IT Park. Come to us for new knowledge and discoveries!
