More companies in Tatarstan can now obtain IT accreditation
The Russian government has expanded the list of organizations eligible to obtain IT accreditation. According to the new decree, developers with state participation now also have this right, but on condition that their work meets the new criteria.
Accredited IT companies receive:
A corporate profit tax rate of 5% instead of 25% until 2030, provided the share of IT revenue exceeds 70%;
Insurance contribution rate of 7.6% instead of 30%;
Preferential mortgage for employees at an annual rate of up to 6%, along with other support measures.
Now, state-owned companies may obtain IT accreditation if they:
Develop software and hardware-software complexes for state information systems and critical information infrastructure facilities;
Participate in particularly significant digitalization projects;
Hold the rights to Russian software included in the pre-installation list.
These segments are where state-owned IT organizations have traditionally been concentrated.
Additionally, all IT companies have had the deadline for confirming accreditation extended through July 1 inclusive. The Ministry of Digital Development will review documents by September 1 and send the decision to the applicant's personal account on the State Services Portal (Gosuslugi). To date, over 16,000 organizations have already submitted applications.
What must be included in the application:
The share of revenue from IT activities;
A link to the company's official website;
For software rights holders — the name and registration number of the product in the register of Russian software, as well as revenue from its sales.
Large companies should additionally confirm that they allocate 3% of the funds saved through tax benefits to support IT education.
