Network capacity expanded in summer camps and villages of Tatarstan
Before the start of the school holidays, Letay Telecom Operator has increased network capacity near children's summer camps in the republic. Work was carried out, in particular, near the camps "Landysh", "Chayka", "Yunost" and the educational and research center "Fensar". This will allow parents to stay in touch with their children while they are on vacation.
Network load analysis shows that peak usage of voice communication and mobile internet occurs in the afternoon and evening hours. Taking this trend into account, as well as the growing activity of subscribers outside the city, Letay continues to expand LTE coverage near sanatoriums, glamping sites and garden and countryside communities. For example, in the village of Vasilyevo, Zelenodolsk region, where many such facilities are concentrated, mobile internet speeds have doubled.
"We see that every year the number of subscribers and the volume of data transmitted are steadily growing. Together with operators, we are systematically working to ensure that citizens always have the opportunity to stay connected. For parents, this means being able to call their children; for employees, the ability to work remotely from a country house; and for any resident, the ability to use digital services, download documents and access news," Deputy Minister of Digitalization of Tatarstan Albert Yakovlev said.
The operator has also improved voice call quality and mobile internet for residents of another 10 localities in Tatarstan. In May, new base stations were activated on busy Vishnevskogo Street in Kazan, near the private residential sector in Kukmor and in the 20th microdistrict of Nizhnekamsk. As a result of equipment optimization, data transfer speeds increased 1.5-fold in the southwestern part of the village of Bogatye Saby, while LTE coverage in low-rise residential areas of Arsk was improved.
