During the past academic year, Tatarstan Ministry of Digitalization together with major IT companies conducted 38 digital literacy lessons in schools across the republic. The nationwide projects "Digital Lesson" and "Digital Literacy" were held with the support of the national project "Data Economy" and reached 2,000 children.

"Throughout the past academic year, we have done fruitful work with companies: a total of 38 lessons on developing digital literacy among children were held in the republic. We received high praise for the lessons from both students and teachers. In our sessions, children learned to spot fraudsters' tricks, turn neural networks into useful helpers, communicate safely in messengers and much more," Deputy Minister of Digitalization Bulat Gabdrakhmanov said.

Thirteen open lessons under the "Digital Lesson" project took place in school assembly halls, each gathering around 150 schoolchildren. In total, about 1,500 adolescents participated. Experts from leading Russian IT companies became the speakers, who analyzed real-life cases with the students and introduced them to professions of the future.

Topics covered with the schoolchildren included:

"AI Agents" from Sberbank

"Video platform" (VK)

"The chat matters: evolution of neural networks and digital security" (Yandex)

"Cybersecurity in space" (Kaspersky Lab)

"Data Analysis: how algorithms help everyone find what they need" (Avito)

"How to code on quants" (Rosatom)

"Digital Lesson" is a nationwide project by the Ministry of Digital Development of Russia, the Ministry of Education of Russia and the Autonomous non-profit organization "Digital Economy", which helps teenagers acquire useful digital skills and get acquainted with IT professions.

Lessons under the "Digital Literacy" project were conducted in individual classes of 25–30 students, where each student could ask questions and discuss personal experiences. In Tatarstan, 25 such interactive lessons and masterclasses were held, involving over 500 children.

The sessions focused on real risks that children may encounter online:

"Digital fakes: learn how to recognize deepfakes" (Yandex).

"How digital habits change the world" (Kontur).

"How to safely book accommodation for travel. Charity: How to give safely" (Avito).

"Study honestly. Smart benefit. Dropping: What it is and why it's Dangerous" (Sberbank).

"Safe communication in messengers" (VK).

"Bad advice on digital security. Protecting your pet in the digital world" (Kaspersky Lab).

"Digital Literacy" is a nationwide educational project for children and adults aimed at enhancing digital literacy, organized by the Ministry of Digital Development of Russia, the Ministry of Education of Russia and the Autonomous non-profit organization "Digital Economy." The programme includes a series of educational animated videos and teaching materials for educators.
